Upskill Programmes

Substance Use

The Government  From "Harm to Hope" Strategy collective goal is to combat illicit drugs.

Over £3 billion  of funding was provided for 2022 to 2025 to deliver a world-leading and ambitious  vision to break drug supply chains, continue to build the treatment and recovery system, and reduce drug demand.

The vulnerable victims of country  line gangs dragged into the world of organised crime from as young as seven are potentially victims of trafficking and exploitation rather then drug dealers.

Every year half of the burglaries and robberies are committed by the 300.000 heroin and  cocaine addicts, with the whole community forced to endure the misery these cause.

As a substance use worker,  I have seen the harmful effects  of the misuse of drugs and alcohol on individuals, families and the wider community.

A drug & alcohol early intervention is paramount in order to prevent and reduce the harm caused by illicit drugs to children and young people.
